BRIGITTE BARDOT
Brigitte's stunning look is one that gals have been inspired by since the sexy star began her career in the '50s. Her long, tousled blonde locks can be achieved best if you have long, layered and thick hair. First wrap thumb-width sections around a curling iron, and hold five seconds then release. Then twist each curl around your finger, pin it against your scalp and spray it with hairspray. After about 15 minutes, remove the pins and shake out the curls. Voilà! Brigitte's coquettish coif is created!
CATHERINE DENEUVE
Catherine's hair is always in pristine condition. I'm not sure of products she used to use for her hair, but for the past couple of years she has been the face of L'Oreal. From Kate: "One of the things she said she did was condition it once a week with vegetable oil and never washes her hair without conditioning it. Also she was a fan of Phyto hair products and the gentleman who began the company used to style her hair personally in the 60's."
GRACE KELLY
To get Grace-like hair, try using a curling iron to smooth out your curls, use some Anti-Frizz product, and try this Grace-style I scanned here as a guide.

LAUREN BACALL
It's all about products when it comes to keep your hair sleek and chic like Lauren's. Put mousse or a curl activator spray on your hair. Use your curling iron to create loose curls vertically from your face. Then apply a little bit of Anti-Frizz product to keep your curls smooth. Shake out your curls. Then spray some hairspray to hold them.

RITA HAYWORTH
Rita’s hair was often parted on her right-side and cascaded into gorgeous waves. Its instructions are just like Lauren Bacall's style: Put mousse or a curl activator spray on your hair. Use your curling iron to create loose curls vertically from your face. Then apply a little bit of Anti-Frizz product to keep your curls smooth. Shake out your curls. Then spray some hairspray to hold them. From Brent: "I have a solution too, you must smooth the hair but restructure the curl so you have to use a heated curling iron to smooth but curl it, then after that use pin curls but follow a pattern like Rita’s curls should fall." Another how-to can be found here.

VERONICA LAKE
To give yourself a beautiful, side-parted Veronica-like hairstyle, begin with wet hair and spray on a hair thickener to give your tresses some extra body, then blow-dry it straight. To make waves, pull a chunk of hair from the ear forward in an “S” shape, then use curl clips to fasten the sections. Spray them with hair spray, and then let them out. Another option is to use your curling iron. Curl it backward, spray it and then finger-comb it. Finally, put gel or a shining spray on your hair for extra shine. For another how-to click here.
VIVIEN LEIGH
For this particular style from Gone With the Wind, Vivien's entire hair was curled using either pin-curls or rollers (or her hair could have been naturally wavy). Next, her hair was parted down the middle. Finally her hair was sectioned off on one side and made into a barrel roll. The same was then done symmetrically to the other side. For tips about how to create hair rolls, check out this page.
